0 Apparent NZ Post Scam

One of our staff received a Txt today advising there was a package ready for delivery. There was a quoted number and the message advised it was at NZPost. The request was for $2. That staff member is expecting several package from overseas.

He was suspicious so went to the NZ Post site  knowing this was a likely scam and put the number in.  There was no such tracking number.

Warning to everyone, postage is usually paid to the sender during  transaction, but many people may get caught out thinking it's a surprise package, and think nothing of paying the $2 as it's so small.

We suggest you don't do anything before checking the legitimacy of the communication.
