Why We Don't Use Facebook For Alerts

Experienced Facebook marketers will tell you it that as an alerting tool, Facebook fails miserably. 

You always run the risk of never seeing posts or seeing them far too late, it's just how Facebook works. ONLY about 10 people out of a hundred will see any posts from either us, Civil Defence, your council or any page you follow. Do you want to be in the 90% that miss out?
